Already Taken is a piano, bass, and drums trio playing classic-styled original rock, ranging from soft ballads to up-tempo numbers. They’re strongly influenced by the days when pop and rock music was comprised of well-formulated songwriting and a dedication to fine musical craftsmanship
All three group members have played (and continue to play) in various Long Island groups, but as a collective unit they share an undeniable chemistry and similar musical sensibilities.
A vehicle for the songwriting talents of the three members, heads have started to turn when hearing the Already Taken band. Join them as they begin to spread their songs and music to the New York Tri-State area.

In ATB land, we continue to keep busy. After Steve released his solo disc, Meaning & Reason, in 2024, he followed it up with an acoustic EP entitled Acoustica, which is about to drop any day now. Joe has once again assembled a bunch of singles from the past year and released them under the title Label the Sauces. As always, these recordings feature Joe, Steve, and Kevin throughout and are part of the Already Taken extended universe.
Kevin is finishing up pre-production on his long-awaited new collection of songs, due to hit the studio this fall.

As the lone chording instrumentalist in Already Taken, it would be an understatement to say Joe is a huge part of the band’s sound. He’s an accomplished pianist and singer/songwriter, who recently recorded his first solo album, All Thing Considered. A student of music of all types, his writing reflects his love of classic piano rock and pop, along with elements of jazz and occasional latin mixed in.
Steve brings a unique element to Already Taken being both a drummer and prolific singer/songwriter, as well as a fine overall musician. A member of several Long Island-based bands and projects and a long time member of the local scene, Steve’s ultimate musical passion is for original music. Great songs with strong melodies and harmony vocals are what he likes best, and he’s a darn fine drummer to boot.
Kevin is the newest member of Already Taken, but what a talent he brings to the group. Equally comfortable playing both electric bass and stand up, he provides a unique musicality through his playing and singing. An active veteran of lots of different bands on Long Island, he’s also an excellent guitar player and songwriter with a unique style and approach that is sure to turn the heads of stringed players of all ilk.
